Hare Krsna Bikers
I installed chocolate grips on renthall 7/8 bars, 2012 Bonneville se...they were a few mm short on the throttle side, so there's a large gap between the flange and throttle. I cut a hole in the ends of both grips to compensate, and it worked out for the left handle as I used my bar end to cover up the cut hole, and same with throttle side. Had the grips been longer, I would likely have not cut holes and accepted the grips as is, with their thick rubber ends and my bar ends not needed. Pictures will do better at showing.
Otherwise, the chocolate grips have given the bike a completed appearance, much like adding a missing tie to an expensive suit. I assume all the grip models are the same length?
Oh yes and then the bar end mirror needed a space for it, which took up the slack presented by the too short grip- but that side worked out not leaving any space. I'm thinking of filling the ugly gap some how or again attempting to slide the grip further closing the gap, then compensate on the other end with some kind of spacer?
