Apropos of nothing, here are some shots from my friend Leland Thurman's
workshop. Leland is a early 30-something BMXer and poker-playing member of the Louisville, KY, UPS graveyard shift. How he managed to collect so many cool vintage hot rod stickers is anyone's guess, but I'll go with his dad was a badass in the day, and Leland copped the old man's stash in some bizarre inheritance scam.
I know "Garage culture" is an oxymoron, but in Leland's case, it fits. Nice shop my friend.
