Mark

Saturday is a toast to MARK UDELL

Saturday May 3rd is the day we celebrate Mark and to all who knew him,
he is here with and in all of us.I put out this token gesture last year and I am throwing it out there again that at 3pm OKC time everyone wherever you may be raise up and toast to Mark. I'm gonna go with a Car Bomb but you may pick a Red Stripe, Fosters, Sierra Nevada, Saki or whatever else you ever had with Mark, he loved them all. Maybe some german food or sushi, if you are in Norman or within reach of it go to the greek house. If you have a board, go skate something, anything! If you have a motorcycle take a ride for Mark! Today enjoy some Van Halen, The Who, The Clash, X, Bad Brains, J.F.A., Big Boys, you know what he liked. Play it loud and play it late!!!

"Irish Car Bomb" recipe if you need it.
1/2 pint Guinness
1 oz Jamison
1/2 oz Bailey's Irish cream

Pour Guiness into a pint glass. Float Baileys on top of Jamison in
shot glass. Drop shot glass, carefully, into Guiness. Drink quickly
before it curdles.

An Irish Funeral Prayer

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around
the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.
