Obviously, we didn’t invent the full-face motorcycle helmet—that milestone belongs to Bell’s iconic Star model, introduced by the American juggernaut in 1967. It didn’t take long after that for the cold war between manufacturers to go nuclear. Soon, over-styled vents, shields, visors, and other embellishments painted the modern motorcycle helmet in Picasso levels of visual absurdity. By the time Biltwell got into the full-face game a dozen years ago, the entire category was ready for a reset.

Although we cringe every time we hear it, Gringo does indeed exude vintage charm. Its clean shell design with zero superfluous filigree looks like The Summer of Love all over again, but meets modern US DOT and ECE R22.06 standards for peripheral vision, impact attenuation, and safety. Gringo’s injection-molded ABS outer shell provides protection without adding weight. Inside, Gringo’s dual-density EPS safety shell features air channels to keep your head and the helmet’s hand-crafted comfort liner dry all day.

Stainless-steel snaps over Gringo’s eye port let you fine-tune function and aesthetics with our broad range of Biltwell bubbles, Blast shields, and Moto visors. Add a pair of Biltwell goggles and Gringo becomes the perfect helmet for vintage dirt track or motocross. Bold and classic paint finishes make our first full-face lid’s simple intentions crystal clear: Gringo has everything you need in a motorcycle helmet, and less.
