Gringo S Helmet - Metallic Ugly Gold

Pretty bad product here. It looks good, but after just one year, the visor is scratched and scuffed because there is no clearance between it and the helmet when closing. The visor itself fogs up immediately, even when it's hot and dry outside. While riding, even at a decent speed, the visor still fogs up and with the scuff marks, it's annoying to have the visor down. Lifting the visor up just increases the screeching noise that comes through. Without any built-in ventilation, the visor should at least be a bit more fog resistant but this isn't the case. I would definitely not recommend this helmet unless all you're going for is looks.

Style is out of this world, fit is good. A bit more room in the Large than the previous two shell version of the Large. Locking mechanism is a big upgrade, although being on the other side as previous I’m still getting used to.

Very happy with my new Gringo S ECE R22.06 helmet. It matches my ‘05 Deluxe nicely. I like the retro styling. Wasn’t sure about sizing. I own 4 other helmets that are XL. However, according to their sizing chart, I was at the top of the XL range. I reached out to Biltwell and they got back to me right away and recommended a XXL. It fit me great and the quality is spot on. I’ve since ordered the smoked shield for it and they shipped it the same day. Fabulous company with great customer service. Thank you Biltwell Inc.!

Extremely cool helmet. Looks great and is very comfortable. Fits snugly - the sizing chart is largely correct with some room for breaking-in (measured a 23.15" head and a large fits perfect). I only wish it didn't come with these high-tac warning stickers. They're bothersome to peel cleanly off a gloss black helmet that's supposed to look brand new.

Just received my new Gringo S helmet and bubble shield! Everything looks high quality, box was slightly damaged but everything inside was left untouched, packed very well. It was a little tight with the cheek pads but i’m sure it just needs to be worn in. Package comes with a sticker😂… best part about it!

I’m writing this review from the hospital, and it’s because of this helmet that I can, amongst other riding gear as well of course, someone sideswiped me off my bike and this helmet held up so well I could definitely wear it again! I’ve had the hospital staff signing it my past 3 weeks here, thank you Biltwell!

Great helmet! I have three Gringo S helmets. My newest helmet is the Gloss Black/White tracker. The colors match my bike perfectly! I just need to get thinner cheek pads because the fit is a little tight

Great helmet..light & great fit..I’m 58.5cm so went with the xtra large..snug fit but comfortable. Wind noise there but very acceptable..love the white color.

Cool helmet. Great fit for me.. cheek pads are a little tighter than I'm used to but im getting used to them. When the visor is all the way down there is no air leak noises. I would recommend this helmet.. Kind of bummed that the aftermarket visors are not available yet

The color is slightly different than shown to my eyes. It is a lighter Robin's egg blue to me. I was a bit disappointed. Compare my photo to the advertisement. The helmet is tighter than my older Gringo S was so there that. I'm sure it will break in and be fine. Same deal with my Lanesplitter. I like all of my Biltwell helmets and consider myself loyal to the brand.

After a handful of rides, thrilled with how well this helmet fits! Snug in all the right places but still comfortable. Killer design!

Just purchesed and was excited about this one, only to find out they have changed the shell and is now way larger than the old good looking gringos. The new shell is huge and I feel like an astronaut about to launch into orbit with this huge thing. Color scheme looks great just too big! Go back to old shells please

They changed their helmet sizes, and they do not fit like they typically did. Way too small ! For many years,Ive worn this brand of helmet .It didn't fit with the pads removed

Great helmet! Ordered a large, because I have a Lane Splitter in large. Was too small, needed an XL. The return was astronomically easy, totally unbelievable! Shipped it back one day, and the next morning the replacement was on the way to me. Biltwell is one fantastic company. Have a couple of their helmets and a number of other products, great quality and fantastic people to deal with.

Great finish, and materials, although maybe too tight, specially as you put it in and out.

Beautiful paint job on this one with a snug fit. That’s why I bought a ‘Gringo’. The Helmet fits more on the tighter side, but that’s what I wanted.

Horrible customer service. Biltwell says they have and honor and 30 day guarantee but they DO NOT. Need to exchange the helmet I purchased for a larger one well within the 30 days and Biltwe
ll refused to exchange the helmet !!!!!! HORRIBLE

Helmet feels and looks great , slightly tighter fit than the lanesplitter and the anti fog works great

At first the size I selected was too small, Biltwell’s customer support was great, sent back the helmet and got the next size up, fits perfect. Only thing I’d have wanted different is a less fidgety strap. But it’s not that bad, just can’t be undone as quickly as kind with notches for micro adjustments.

Unfortunately, helmet didnt fit, will size up. The return/exchange program is great, Biltwell’s customer service is top notch. 👍🏼👍🏼

The Gringo S helmet is very nice, but I have to question the logic of selling it (a medium in my case) with the 24mm cheek pads as standard. The 24mm pads were too thick, the 5 and 10 mm pads were not in stock so I ordered the 15mm pads, which were still a little tight. Since I knew I'd never use the 24mm pads, I slit the fabric, removed the foam, installed a thinner foam and my wife sewed the fabric back together. The helmet now fits, but should I have had to go through all of that with a brand new helmet???
