Any problems so far?
Nothing yet… just a few tears haha
Sharing the garage again might test us a little 😈 Jake just picked up his new Harley bike for Born Free, so things are about to get interesting. I now have a loose schedule where I can absolutely pester him with questions and just hope he still loves me after.
I am a little nervous getting into the motor — first time ever — but that’s kind of the point.
Favorite part of the bike so far?
The exhaust.
It took me forever to feel good about the design and execution. When it was finally welded and finished, I cried.
Honorable mention: the key holder labeled “Moron” and “On” — it still makes me laugh every time.
Favorite part of the competition?
Going back to my original goal: learning.
This process has been fun, uncomfortable, overwhelming, and wildly emotional in the best way. It’s been like drinking from a fire hose, but it’s made me stronger and way more confident. There were moments of dying laughing with my husband, crying over silly things, and realizing my hands were “doing it all wrong.”
Having a project that’s new, scary, and exciting has been incredible. I’m so stoked, actually to finish my own build. I really appreciate Biltwell for taking a chance on me and giving me the space to try something new. The routine updates have been such a fun part of the process and something I genuinely look forward to every week.
