EXFIL-36 Saddlebags Black

I love the look and quality of these bags. However, I had to give them three stars because there is not enough Velcro material between the bags.
By the time I hung the bags across my rear fender, leveled them, and got everything positioned correctly, I only had about 1/2 inch of overlap on the Velcro straps. That did not feel secure enough, so I ended up punching holes through the Velcro material and adding a few stainless-steel bolts with fiber lock nuts for additional peace of mind.
I can't imagine it would add much cost to include a few extra inches of material between the bags. Customers who do not need the extra length could always trim off any excess. Aside from this issue, I am very pleased with the overall appearance and quality of the product.

These are perfect , compliments the look on my dyna. If you're looking for some bags these are it.

Got these a just a little over two years ago, and everything started off alright, but now they're falling apart. The straps are breaking, the bottom is sagging pretty hard, one of the zippers derails half the time. I haven't been hard on em or anything, and the bike lives inside most of the time. Idk, it bothers me when things start to disintegrate as soon as the warranty is up. Never would have gotten them if I knew they'd only last two years.

Huge Bags, great quality, great value, Used the exfil 36 on my Sportster to ride 1500 mile round trip from Germany to Budapest and had tons of space left over, even with over packing. Would be perfect for two people on a multiple day trip.

Threw these on my custom swingarm shovelhead to ride around some national parks and these things are great! They have a really nice semi rigid structure, great variety of pockets, and the latches keep the tops firmly in place while being easy to get in to. Did I mention the latches are magic? They are. Only thing I would add is a molle loop or two on the front side near where a shock would be so you could just strap it there instead of using the bracket but still 5 stars all day.

STAFF PICK: I just put 2000 miles on a final set of prototypes. El Diabloe Run plus back up to Washington state. The Fidlock latches are amazing. Basically, you just drop them and 90% of the time they magically latch themselves. I must've done it a thousand times lol. Watch the video. These latches made it super easy to get into quickly without a lot of fussy buckles and whatnot. On EDR I used our Voile straps through the MOLLE on the lids to add a rolled up towel on one side and jacket on the other. Effectively doubles the capacity when you need it and leaves them tidy and compact when you don't. The outside zipper pockets were also cool for easy access for small items. After a day or two riding, I took off the seat and readjusted the velcro yoke to keep bags looking tight. You can fit more in our other saddlebags but I think for most everyday uses, these are probably the right size and the functionality makes them super easy to live with.

I have yet to have them mounted up on my bike but I can already tell that these are vary "Biltwell" very purposeful and not an inch of waste of space on these bags, working on rebuilding my brakes and front forks before I take off this summer to Port Angeles in August. Looking forward to the trip and looking to have a good time when I get to the MotoFest campout 😎

I don't have much experience with saddlebags but I never liked the fact that they were just these leather boxes with no significant storage compartments, this Biltwell gear is so superior and different that everyone notices it at first glance... The material it's made of, the Molle system, the compartments everywhere, the fact that they seal my stuff so well from outside weather conditions even without the raincoats they come with.

One improvement opportunity? it needs rougher material at the bottom... My exhaust pipe heat tore the outer layer of the right side one... even if there is tough material inside, I think it shouldn't have the Kevlar on the outside and just leave the rubber bottom... I'll share pics if requested. The bag is still 100% usable, it's just torn on the outer layer at the bottom of it... I don't know if that will keep tearing up in the future.

Amazing saddlebags! So much storage space and solid build. We’ve always had hard bags, but I don’t think I’ll go back after these. Just perfect all the way around.

Got these so my girlfriend and I can go camping and have enough space for everything. We can fit so much in these. Tent, sleeping pad, blankets, clothes, camera, food, and other camping gear. They ride good and don’t get in the way. 10 out of 10

I have been looking for bags for my 2020 Harley Lowrider S that would ideally also work on my 2022 DRZ 400S and just about any platform I can think of. These bags look great. Definitely stand out from the bags everyone else is running. Tons of space. I get complements everywhere I go.

Bags are perfect!

Couldn’t be happier with these bags. Running them on my FXR and they are just what I needed. Plenty of storage for my traveling kit and the molle strap system works well with my other Exfil bags. Also very easy to zip-off at the end of a long day if posting up in a hotel vs camping.
