Ben Jefferies’ 1960 Panhead

Ben Jefferies’ 1960 Panhead

Ben Jefferies entry for this year’s Biltwell People’s Champ bucked the trend of over-the-top, wild ass choppers. Don’t get us wrong, there is plenty of high-quality fabrication work going on, but it’s all packaged together just right. It’s the kind of bike you could ride for years and not get tired of. Like most of us, Ben collects swap meet parts and he put a lot of them to use on this build. That single down tube frame, moon oil tank, and solid rear wheel give it a serious pro-street stance, but without the typical flashy 1980’s paint. The dash-in-tank has a fun Knight Rider kinda vibe without being silly or tacked on.

Ben was a pleasure to deal with during this competition and we’re stoked he made it all the way from Indiana to party with us nerds at Cook’s Corner and Born Free.
