Struts

Struts

Struts aren't for everyone, but on the right bike they can make sense. I always thought I hated them until I put a set of ours on this sporty a couple summers ago. It was rigid as hell, but that made it more fun to ride, it felt more snappy and responsive without all that monkey motion going on back there. Now, all the self-appointed experts on the internet are going to tell you that you can't ride a bike with struts very far, your back is going to kill you, blah, blah. I call bullshit. I rode this bike with a backpack and rigid seat to Albuquerque and back and it was stiff but I did it, and I'm fat and old. So, if you think struts make sense for your bike, try these. They are sleeved for strength and to look particularly good with a Sporty frame, fully TIG-welded, are 10" from center to center and have a 1/2" bore. They fit bikes other than Sporties, but look at your mounts first before pulling the trigger to make sure they'll work.
