Biltwell Hustler Helmets. DOT-Approved.
Some people simply prefer to wear a DOT-approved helmet. If that's your style, the Biltwell Hustler might be your helmet. Like our novelty lids that came before it, the Hustler features a classic open-face design. DOT-approved open face helmets like the Hustler offer sound deadening comparable to a full-face helmet, but with peripheral vision that puts bulkier hoods to shame. The Hustler features a seamless, injection-molded ABS shell with a finish that matches three of the flat paints on our Gen II novelty helmet. The Hustler's synthetic suede liner with padded, diamond-pleated construction and expanded polystyrene inner shell is sized right to fit comfortably, even on all-day rides. The Huster's nylon neck strap features lightly padded cheek pads, flat D-rings to eliminate slip and a plastic snap to secure the strap's loose end. Our new weatherproof goggle strap retainer features a heavy-duty snap for durability, and the chrome-accented strip is stylish and durable.

We get a ton of questions about size and fit of the Hustler Helmets. Use the chart below to figure out your head size, or better yet, locate an authorized Biltwell dealer and go try one on in person. The other popular question we get is about the size of the shell. The extra protection which gains the approval of the DOT also adds to the dimesion of the helmet. This is impossible to get around and we've made the helmet as trim as possible while meeting all requirements of the Department of Transportation. The two photos above (click 'em if you want to see them larger) show the helmet in context while riding and an unofficial comparison we did using our friend Josh (thanks, dude!) to model the Bell 500, the Fulmer V2, our own Novelty Helmet and the Hustler. This is best, most honest way to illustrate how the helmets relate to each other and a human head.
