high speed, low drag

Construction: 1-inch O.D. x 0.120" wall seamless 4130 chromoly tubing. All bends are created with internal mandrels on a CNC bender to reduce flat spots in the radiuses. For exact measurements, please click the Specifications icon in the photo album. Available in two styles: Smooth for aftermarket hand controls or custom applications, and Dimpled for stock Harley-Davidson switches and levers.

Fitment: Biltwell Zero Drags are even lower than most original equipment handlebars, so retrofitment with stock Harley cables and wiring is generally a snap.

Black ED: The black finish on Biltwell handlebars and risers is called Black Electrostatic Discharge or BED, and is applied the same way chrome plate is applied to raw materials. Like chrome plating, powdercoating and standard paint finishes, BED requires periodic care to maintain its luster. Soapy water and a soft cloth will remove surface dirt from BED, and common automotive waxes and polishes work great to protect the finish.

A Few Words on Knurling: We donít knurl our bars because doing so reduces the surface area where the handlebar makes contact with the risers, thereby compromising clamping power. Stock and aftermarket steel risers commonly found on cruisers and custom big twins have a material density 4 times greater than aluminum. This density doesn't let knurling bite into the riser material, which in turn compromises clamping strength.

I had the same trouble as Jimmy. Great looking bars and great quality but they don't fit too well on my 2005 XL883L. The only way for me to get the controls on where I needed them was to remove the headlight and that forced me to spend another $50 on a new Headlight Bracket. The controls also hit the tank when turned fully but that's not a huge negative. All in all great bars I just wish they fit a little better.

These bars are high quality and look awesome. My only complaint is that the dimples for the electical to run through are too close to the triple tree, making it impossible for the electrical to reach the dimples without the brake booster or clutch cable running into the fork. You could grind away at the hand controls to allow for electrical clearance, or simply cut new holes in the bars that are further out, away from the triple tree. I tried to put these on my stock 2013 Sportster 48, and was disappointed that the dimples were too far in.

I knocked an inch off each end and it's perfect. Quality bar, quality powder coating, quick shipping - perfect little lane splitter bar.

These bars are too narrow to fit a 2013 XL883N. Put the hand controls right next to the top tree and controls hit the tank. Guess i shoulda looked at the measurements closer. Finish and build seem high quality though.

Recently purchased the 1" Zero Drag handlebar and installed less than an hour. Love the look and the ease of install, any one can install with the basic hand tools and no knowledge. A set of aftermarket cables will clean everything up for a nice appearance.
