It's pretty likely that the day after the motorcycle was invented, someone rode it to the woods and partied with their friends. Technology improves, culture evolves, society changes and a hundred plus years later, that same endeavor gets thousands of people out of the house and on the road every weekend. Our GM, Mike Ellis and his wife Ashmore know how to throw a party that'll get people off the couch. Two years ago, they started one in the Donner Pass area of Northern California called the Sierra Stakeout. The area is known for beautiful scenery, twisty roads and lots of elevation gain and loss–just the right ingredients to cook up a good time on motorbikes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwgnMDj3er0&t=4s The trip for us is a little over 500 miles, depending on the exact route. We've all ridden HWY 395 enough times to have our favorite spots and if there's enough time, it's cool to spend an extra day or two on the way up and enjoy some of the streams, lakes and hot springs along the Eastern Sierras. June Lake, Tom's Place, Rock Creek, Schatt's, Mono Cone, Lundy, Bridgeport–they're all good places to stop and dunk your nuts and camp for the night. Rather than one more boring trip report or party recap, I figured we'd just dump a ton of good riding photos from our intrepid shooter Geoff Kowalchuk. Ride Motorcycles. Have Fun. -Bill
