To clean your shield, use mild soapy water solution and a microfiber cloth to loosen bugs and road debris, then dry it with a second clean microfiber towel. Never use harsh household or petroleum-based chemicals to clean your shield, especially on the inside, as they can destroy the shield's special coatings. If the retainer snap on your Gringo S shield becomes tight or sticky, apply one drop of general-purpose light household oil to the inside. Apply one drop of medium-strength blue Loc-Tite to the threads of both hinge screws every time you install a shield.

Finally went on a 950 mile trip last weekend with it, wanted a long trip and different weather before I reviewed the Shield. Left in 40 degree weather, the anti-fog worked great, Really liked the stops that are built in. It has the 3 different postitions that actually will stay in the one you put it in. Nice upgrade to the shield.
Love Biltwell. The new operating tabs on the gen 2 are excellent and they keep the shield up in heavy wind if you want to ride with it open. Great style and solid manufacturing. Looking forward to ordering Biltwell grips next!!
If you have an older version of the S this is a must have up grade. Really nice solid positive stops. Visor actually stays in the position you want it in and the wind wont snap it shut.
