We don’t knurl our bars because doing so reduces the surface area where the handlebar makes contact with the risers, thereby compromising clamping power. Stock and aftermarket steel risers commonly found on cruisers and custom big twins have a material density 4 times greater than aluminum. This density doesn't let knurling bite into the riser material, which in turn compromises clamping strength.

I put these bars on my hinckley triumph with the stock risers, going for a low, sporty stance. Just a tiny bit too short to slide the stock throttle all the way on, but I clipped the end off of the throttle tube, and they work great! Super cool looking too.
These bars are too narrow to fit a 2013 XL883N. Put the hand controls right next to the top tree and controls hit the tank. Guess i shoulda looked at the measurements closer. Finish and build seem high quality though.
Recently purchased the 1" Zero Drag handlebar and installed less than an hour. Love the look and the ease of install, any one can install with the basic hand tools and no knowledge. A set of aftermarket cables will clean everything up for a nice appearance.
